If you want a good laugh, you have got to go see “Knocked Up“. It’s seriously one of the funniest movies I’ve seen in a long time. A classic! Forget the advertisements that say “from the maker of 40 Year Old Virgin”, because that move was awful, and clearly doesn’t do this film justice.

Two things:

1) Seth Rogen is this year’s Napolean Dynamite.

2) Katherine Heigl won’t be on Grey’s Anatomy for long, I fully expect her to move on to movies.

I saw the Chronicles of Narnia last night, and I have to say I give it a thumbs up. I had no idea what I was getting myself into and I really enjoyed it.

The movie was a mixture of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, except it was much more, for lack of a better word, fantastical? They had some fight scenes that were similar to Lord of the Rings, with not quite as much blood and gore. I like to see some blood and gore during battles scenes, and there was just enough to make me happy, and and not too much to scare a 13 year old kid.

I guess the part that reminded me of Harry Potter was the fact that I was watching a movie that was based on kids. I won’t give the movie away, but the basis of story is these kids stumble upon a warddrobe that takes them to a distant land; you’ll have to watch the movie to figure out the rest.

Anyway, if you like fantasy/medieval movies, you’ll definitely get a kick out of the Chronicles of Narnia.
