Madison trades Memorial Day for “We hate war” day.

Good job Jimbo! Those people clearly forgot the meaning of Memorial Day.
I started a new job this week. So far, everything is going great. Everyone is very friendly, which is something I haven’t been used too. My last job, my boss was a complete asshole from day one, and it just got worse from there. The owners, Susan and Jonathan Lipp, were both very nice to me, and I felt bad leaving in just under a year, but I just couldn’t work for that jackass anymore. Plus, I had to punch a clock, wear a badge, couldn’t eat at my desk, and didn’t have much for vacation days. I have none of that crap, and they started me off with 3 weeks vacation. It’s no surprise morale is much higher at my new job.
On a side note, I did enjoy what I did at my last job so I’ve decided to start my own pro media e-commerce website. I’ve worked at a pro audio retail store for over 4 years, 1 year at Full Compass, I’m a programmer and a musician, so it just makes sense. I must warn you, the site is up, but it’s really nothing more than a landing page with some industry links. I’m currently working on a logo, testing shopping cart software, and talking to distributors. I’m hoping to launch it either later this Summer or sometime in Fall.
I just lost TOTAL respect for Clinton Portis. The man thinks it’s okay for people to commit felonies in the privacy of their own home. He says it’s normal down in Mississippi, but sorry Clinton, that doesn’t make it right. He just made himself look like one of the dumbest rednecks on the face of the planet. If I were a Redskin fan, I’d be ashamed he played for my team. Whether Mr. Portis likes it or not, he is a role model for kids, and should start acting like one.
I don’t care if Michael Vick is some celeb football player, if he’s truly been fighting dogs, he should a) go to prison, b) never be allowed to own a pet ever again, and c) should never be allowed to play in the NFL ever again.

Redskins trying to make up for his stupidity
After the remarks began to circulate, the team issued the statement: “In the recent interview I gave concerning dog fighting, I want to make it clear I do not take part in dog fighting or condone dog fighting in any manner.”

eLabs has been working on this truck for months now, and I have to say, it’s pretty impressive. Top-notch recording equipment, including a SSL mixing console, which I believe was previously owned by Peter Gabriel. How cool is that?

Ted Thompson has a plan, to simply build through the draft, and only the draft. In today’s age of free agency, the successful teams are built through the draft, but you still must use free agency to fill in the holes. Players that make a big difference on the field, like Reggie White, rarely hit free agency due to the franchise tag. The last few years the Packers have been in a rebuilding process, so I understand why he’s brought in a lot of youth, but he could have filled a few holes using free agency, and has failed. The latest failure was not getting Randy Moss for a fourth round pick from Oakland. According to Favre, Moss would have been willing to play for $3 million/year. To bring a playmaker with his abilities/potential, it would have been a very small gamble. I also believe Thompson failed to bring in a veteran running back last season. He didn’t even attempt to talk to players like Shaun Alexander and Edgerrin James.
I haven’t been one of those Ted Thompson haters, but I’m really starting to wonder if he has what it takes to put together a winning team. I think Ted has a done an excellent job at drafting, but the question is, does he have the balls to take a chance? After missing out on Moss and his lack of activity in free agency, the answer is clearly, “no”. I hate to give up on him since I believe it takes 4-5 years to rebuild a team, but I just think he’s too conservative to put together a competitive team.
It’s time for Ted Thompson to go.
I’ve been trying to find an old friend of mine I went to school with back in Los Angeles. I’ve Googled, searched MySpace and Friendster. I’ve done people search, but no luck. Anyway, Lance, if you find this, shoot me an email.
I’d like to thank all of the people that came out on a Monday night to support 20 Reasons Taken. It was like 8:30-9:00pm and nobody was in the bar, and then around 9:00 people started piling in. We had a great time playing. We’re working on a lot of shows this Summer, including Summerfest, so stay tuned!

I don’t see that stuck-up princess laughing now. Yes, you could say the penalty is a little harsh, but if you don’t play by the rules, you must face the consequences, no matter how much money you inherited from your parents.
“This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money with all this nonsense. This is a joke,” Kathy Hilton said of the judge’s decision. Yes, it sure is, and you have your daughter, the little girl you raised, to blame for it.
Now, if we can just get people to stop paying attention to this no-talent hack, the world would be a much nicer place to live.
