Folkers Attempt to go Metal
Folk musicians playing acoustic versions of metal songs. I was excited when I heard the concept, but totally disappointed when I read the Cap Times article. They say the artists will be covering metal songs, but two of the songs they talk about covering are Def Leppard’s “Hysteriaâ€, and Metallica’s “Enter Sandmanâ€. Give me a break! Neither of those songs are metal, but rather mainstream shite. I was hoping for some covers by real metal bands like Iron Maiden, Testament, Suicidal, Anthrax, Sepultura, etc, etc. I was hoping they’d get creative and pull out some songs by bands like Biohazard or Nuclear Assault, but it doesn’t sound good.
Either way, I’m hoping to be at the show on 06/06/06; which is like the day of the devil or something.
