Mom’s Memorial

We had a memorial for my mom this past weekend, and it went perfectly! The flowers were plenty and beautiful, and the weather was amazing. I’m not sure how many people showed up, but there were a lot more than we expected. The church ended up opening the side doors and setting up folding chairs. I had friends and family coming out of the woodwork. It was pretty clear mom was a very loved person. Pastor Rod did an amazing job. Thank you to anyone that came, sent flowers, sent cards, called, sent/prepared food, or did anything else that has helped everyone get through this tough time.

I’m sorry about your Mom, Superman. I would have said something on madison.com but I’m permanently banned from there. Anyway, I know how tough it is to deal with cancer. My dad died of lung cancer and I and my brother and sister took care of him at his home his last few weeks with the help of Hospice Care – this was before they had a building. It’s a horrible, horrible disease.

    Take care,
    Genie
